Hannah W. Thomas is an Associate in Lozano Smith's San Diego office. Ms. Thomas specializes in assisting school districts with a variety of labor and employment and student matters, with a particular focus on Title IX and investigations.

Experience

Ms. Thomas has experience in various aspects of education law. She is skilled in providing guidance on employee-related matters, responding to union demands, and assisting with both workplace and student investigations. Ms. Thomas conducts thorough legal research to advise clients on compliance with federal and state requirements, and she supports the analysis of constitutional issues, including student free speech.

Education

Ms. Thomas received her Juris Doctor from the UC Davis School of Law, where she was involved in the UC Davis Law Review and the King Hall Negotiations Team. Her note, Title IX and Dobbs: How the Supreme Court’s Overturning of Roe Has Created the Need for Administrative, Executive, and Institutional Action, was published in Volume 58, Issue 5 of the UC Davis Law Review. Ms. Thomas earned her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
