Mark Kitabayashi Named to Southern California Super Lawyers

Los Angeles, California, (March 7, 2011)- Mark Kitabayashi , senior counsel in Lozano Smith's Los Angeles office, has been named by California Super Lawyers magazine as one of the top attorneys in Southern California for 2011. Only five percent of the lawyers in the state are named by Super Lawyers.

Mr. Kitabayashi has more than 24 years of litigation experience, representing the interests of both public and private clients, predominately in the areas of employment law, local government issues, products liability, environmental, business and personal injury defense.

A true Southern Californian, Mr. Kitabayashi received his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles and his J.D. from the University of Southern California. He is admitted to practice law before the U.S. Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court, Eastern and Central Districts.

Mr. Kitabayashi is a recognized speaker teaching seminars to attorneys and clients on topics such as How to Take and Defend Depositions; Preparing and Handling Arbitrations, and Overview of Discovery Practices and Strategy in Civil Litigation among others.

"It is an honor to be recognized for something that I truly enjoy, and there is no question that it was made possible by the support of my colleagues at Lozano Smith and our wonderful clients," said Kitabayashi.

Each year the research team at Super Lawyers undertakes a rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area, and a good-standing and disciplinary check.
