(Recorded Presentation)
Event Single

Details

This session, the second in the 4-part strand, will focus on case law interpreting eligibility and age requirements under the IDEA, including problem-solving and analysis of complex cases involving child find or initial eligibility determinations, and students aging out and exiting from special education. Specific focus for child find issues will be considering the impact of school closures and distance learning on newly-arising mental health issues, social and behavioral issues and overall learning styles. Special attention will be paid to determining whether a child is eligible for special education based solely on the circumstances that arise from distance learning and subsequent return to school.

This event is reserved for school district or public agency employees only. Please contact Client Services for more information.
